Spiritual Intelligence (SQ)–What’s Your Level?

Spiritual courage merges with spiritual Intelligence (SQ). What is the level of SQ in your organization?

The spiritual journey requires being in the present. It is a trust in faith that propels you to continue growing. You become a “witness” to your attachments and learn to self-correct. You surrender your ego to a higher level of consciousness, and you begin to exist in a place called “where courage meets grace.”

As all this happens, humility steps in to replace arrogance and self-righteousness. The sacred within awakens and reveals your (SQ). SQ is secular spirituality; is an innate capability that we can learn to use based on experience not beliefs.

Danah Zohar’s work on Spiritual Intelligence writes in SQ: Spiritual Intelligence, the Ultimate Intelligence, “Self-awareness is one of the highest criteria of high spiritual intelligence but one of the lowest priorities of our spiritually dumb culture. From the moment we begin school we are trained to look outward rather inward, to focus on facts and practical problems in the external world, to be goal-oriented. Virtually nothing in Western education encourages us to reflect on ourselves, on our inner lives and motives. We are not encouraged to let our imaginations run. Developing greater self-awareness is a high priority for raising SQ.”
